Visualize what's currently inside your favorite room. Why are those things in there?

Inside my favorite room. The windows are from floor to ceiling. In between, dark wood lines them, walnut. There are also sliding doors, leading to our piece of the redwood forest. It is

magical, but even more magical after a winter storm, when it looks like each redwood seed dropped by the kind of winds that push you over, have been hand placed by your best

friend, the love of your life.

On this evening though, the hue of the summer in waning. Those light pinks, whispering to the beginning of dusk. The ocean is hidden, but it’s there. You can still feel it pulsating

against the distant cliffs.

This room isn’t in our first house. It’s a room we created for beauty itself – and books. Like aclassic story brought to life in the library it lives in.

There are inlaid bookshelves. Floor to ceiling.

There are also inlaid speakers, both Bose and JBL – we couldn’t decide…the drama of that conversation in the world…such drama… (I hope this sentence makes you smile). The

sound and the soundscape are impeccable.

Calming water sounds are playing. Maybe the sounds will by our choice transform as the night falls, maybe not…

Anyways, also in this room are blossoming cherry and plum trees with their light pink flowers, a small amount deeper in shade than the dimming light of the sunset. I made them. I

constructed them out of silver wire metal, the trunks and branches, and each flower out of additional, more delicate wire and material ranging of sequined soaked material to

velvet. There is of course a large wrap around couch with down pillows (note, not throw pillows) around…walnut hardwood floors…and an electric kettle…I have been known to drink

coffee. To be sure, there is one wall that is painted white. The one holding the main stretch of the three segment couch. It is a nice backdrop.

Everything is in this room to find peace, comfort, creativity, to live. To love. To become awe inspired in a sense of calm brilliance. To feel complete and full in.
